THe seminar will be taking place at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center (201 Lafayette Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70801), which has complimentary valet parking, on March 25, 2009 from 8:00am – 4:30pm.
Don Zeringue and other plan reviewers from the Baton Rouge Fire Marshall's office will perform reviews of recent projects, preliminary, contract documents, etc that are provided by attendees. Content is reliant on attendees' projects being submitted for discussion. Therefore, attendees to the seminar are encouraged to send any documents or plans that they wish to be used in the seminar to the LES State Office by mail at 9643 Brookline Avenue, Ste. 116 Baton Rouge, LA 70809 or by email at les@les-state.org. Documents may be in electronic, pdf, or other format. The plan reviewers will also cover other issues and questions that come up during the discussion. Attendees need to bring their code books. A copy of the Life Safety Code Handbook may be purchased by the participants from NFPA on their website (www.nfpa.org). The IBC can be purchased from (www.iccsafe.org).

These classes - for design, architect and construction professionals - will be offered by Fire Marshal Architect Supervisor Linda Burch at Delgado Community College's Student Life Center on Friday, April 24, 2009. The CEU's will be offered from 12:00pm - 5:30pm.
